my past argument
baru habis marking my students' book. hahaha...ok, back to my topic. let me share my very first argument with a "so-called-mature-educated-adult". if im not mistaken, it was when i was in form 4 kali. i was accompanying my friend ke UBD masa tu, sal he won the high distinction award for the Australian Math Comptetition, of course lah our teacher bawa. we were in our school uniform, except for my songkok (which fell into the river that morning). instead, i was wearing a cap. i thought that it would be okay, since it was my friend punya majlis kan, i was just a pengiring.
hendak dipendekkan cerita...semasa kami kan masuk ke MPH UBD tu kan, suddenly i was stopped by one of the pegawai UBD. dengan kurang hajarnya ia menagur aku masa tu. mari kita ikuti the argument. i will call that pegawai as PKA.
PKA : eh wang, bisai jua kau ani kan pakai cap di sini...inda kau beradap kah?
me : ...
PKA : mana songkokmu? inda ko bersongkok kah?
me : (since i was offended...) inda ku tebali bah
PKA : ih, kurang ajar kau ani ah! sekolah mana kau?
me : semaun. kenapa kan?
PKA : patut...memang kurang ajar kau ani. kau pikir bisai kah ber cap ani? lawa tah perasaanmu tu?
i was totally offended...i was about to talk to him lagi, tapi my teacher pulled me. Udah tah, jangan tah buat hal. pakal ganya my teacher ada bah, mun inda ku cakapi lagi ia tu.
not to give u a bad impression that i was yang dulu buat hal. firstly, even though aku pakai cap, do u expect school kids tahu kah apa dress code jabatan kerajaan ani, especially UBD? secondly, even ia nda kan nyuruh aku pakai cap, why not bagitau politely as Bruneian, "wang, di sini ani inda buleh pakai cap ni, buka ah, nda bisai kana liat..." nyaman jua hati sikit, of course kitani pun voluntarily nda pakai cap atu lagi. ani, tarus2 bah mencakapi dengan nada yang sungguh kurang ajar lagi tu. he was a dean, he is a Bruneian, so he was supposed to know how to talk and negotiate politely, not jadi penghulu biadap! i still remember his name, sal aku masa tu tekarih2 betanya rah org lain yg ada, sapa nama orang tua atu. his name is... awang "single". u know what i mean... he still owe me an argument!!!
