1998. Played RE2, Tomb Raider, then MGS. Read gamer's favorite magazine EGM and rating on this JRPG game caught my eyes. Really? RPG with 95% rating? So went to Jill&Jill to grab a copy. Read the review again and still not convinced. Finally decided to give it a go. Opening scene, the first combat, to the first boss battle (Guard Scorpion). 3 hours later...wow! Didn't know RPG can be so good, too good actually. The story was unreal. It was like a combo of watching comedy + movie + reading comic + playing video games. Don't get me started with Sephiroth. 3 months later, I OmniSlashed Sephiroth and marked the end of that game. I wished the company would remake it in the future. And guess what? Dream actually do come true. After a lot of teasings (2015) and rumours, it's finally here. Can't wait for the official full game this April 10th.
